COLORADO RANCHING FOR WILDLIFE – HUNT #98

COLORADO RANCHING FOR WILDLIFE – HUNT #98

We have the good fortune of partnering with one of the premiere hunting and fishing lodges in the Lower 48! This private ranch totals 200,000 acres, with over 50,000 acres available for hunting, which is nurtured and scientifically managed to produce maximum numbers of exceptional bulls and trophy deer.

In Colorado, a few select operations have been able to gain Ranching for Wildlife status, and this is one of the best. It means that in return for careful management of the state’s wildlife, they are allowed to set their own seasons. As a result, you can hunt during the bugle season with either rifle or bow! Rifle hunts in the bugle season here are unique, exhilarating adventures with bulls responding aggressively to calling. The calling is done by world champion elk callers. Hunters will have a number of close encounters with love-sick, enraged bulls each day.

The elk and deer are all free ranging and unrestricted, but choose to stay in the friendly confines of the ranch.  The ranch is managed to produce excellent forage and habitat that produces trophy animals. The executive-type accommodations are world class and unsurpassed. A bonus is the opportunity to fish for 2- to 8-pound trout in the ranch’s private waters. The ranch has spent millions of dollars on stream improvements and improving the habitat in their ponds.

127__450xfloat_Elk-Hunting-300x265 You will do the majority of hunting from horseback, although 4WD can be used for some hunters uncomfortable with horses. You’ll likely be into elk almost as soon as you leave the lodge. If you want to have a real hunt for wild free-ranging elk with unmatched accommodations and comfort, this is the hunt for you. You’ll hunt with superb guides, during the heat of the bugle/rut season, with a high probability that you’ll go home with a trophy bull or buck. Because the outfitter can issue licenses, it’s likely you’ll have a mixed group of rifle and archery hunters hunting at the same time! This is impossible in most states.

Accommodations consists of a total of 35,000-sq. ft. of luxury lodging, encompassing several lodges. The amenities are unsurpassed and the cuisine is superb. Everything is designed to ensure your comfort, success and enjoyment.

All rates include roundtrip transportation from Hayden, Colorado, or Dixon, Wyoming, airports to Three Forks Ranch, accommodations (based on double occupancy), dining, complimentary beverages, 2×1 guide service, transportation afield, field dressing, complimentary day of fly fishing and a complimentary 50-shot sporting clay shoot.
