We at Hunt Nation love working with small, family-owned operations (that’s what we are too!), and this operation is exactly that. They own a terrific, high-fence property in the southwest area of the Texas Hill Country. It is approx. 940 acres and offers a nice mix of river-bottom and rougher, hill-country terrain. And it has a very healthy and abundant game population, consisting of both native and exotics species.
The family purchased the property in 2021 and then spent 2 years improving the quality, quantity and diversity of game on the ranch. The property was not commercially hunted previously, and they have only hosted a handful of guests since purchasing (all of whom enjoyed 100% success and want to go back again!), but the ranch is now ready to welcome Hunt Nation clients.
THE HUNTING
The ranch is blessed with an abundance and variety of game, including native whitetails and hogs, along with exotics such as axis deer, blackbuck, aoudad, fallow deer, sika deer, scimitar-horned oryx, red stag, mouflon, and even blue wildebeest. Hunts for additional species can often be arranged on nearby ranches, so just let us know if there’s something else that interests you.
Some of these species are available from September/October thru February, while others can be hunted year-round, making for great fun during the “off season”. Regardless of the time of year, here’s what you can expect in terms of trophy quality (meat/management hunts also available):

This is a great place for hunters of all ages and physical abilities, as you can usually choose your method of hunting, including spot & stalk (whether on foot or by vehicle) or sitting in a blind/stand over a feeder or waterhole (even some nighttime hog hunts!). So bring the family, young or old (they especially like hosting young hunters!). There is also great catch & release fishing available on their 2 fishing ponds, which are stocked with bass, catfish and panfish. They even have fishing tackle available for your use!

Base hunt price: $1,200 per person for 3 days’ hunting/3 nights (arrive at Noon on first day and depart at Noon on the final day). Non-hunters are $750 ea. Plus following trophy fees (per animal):

All meals, non-alcoholic drinks and lodging are included. Most hunts are conducted 2×1. Field dressing and caping/quartering is included, but skinning is $100/animal. Transportation to a local processor or taxidermist is $25/per destination.
LICENSES
To hunt exotics and hogs, you simply need a Non-Resident 5-Day Special Hunting License which is approx. $50. A non-resident Whitetail License is approx. $315.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Hunters stay in a small but modern and comfortable (not fancy), fully-furnished lodge with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which sleeps 5 guests. It is perfect for a family or a few friends to enjoy, and they try not to mix groups. Meals are hearty and abundant.
GETTING THERE
You will fly into San Antonio and drive from there (approx. 2 hours). There are processors in the area that can butcher your game meat, and even ship it home to you if necessary.
