We believe that Indiana is a major sleeper state for big whitetail deer. Recent kill rates and their trophy book of Indiana whitetails, backs us up completely. Pictured above is a buck that Don from our office took on the first morning of his 2017 hunt with this outfitter. Now is the time to go, BEFORE everyone stumbles onto the opportunity. And because it is less well known, pricing tends to be very realistic and tags easily acquired. How big is big? Well, in October 2013 during the shotgun season, Tim Beck took a 305 7/8” monster which broke the State record and is now the #4 biggest non-typical of all time! And in November 2017, trail camera photos circulated on the Internet of an Indiana buck that some believe might be a new world record, if ever harvested or found. THIS OUTFITTER’S CLIENTS HAVE TAKE 6 BOONE & CROCKETT BUCKS IN THE LAST 4 YEARS! The turkey hunting is absolutely fantastic too.
This outfitter hunts a total of 12,000-15,000 acres in the southeast part of the State. This is comprised of a unique 4,000-acre parcel on which the outfitter has exclusive hunting rights and which is bowhunting only, and the rest is numerous private farms of various sizes that allow guns or archery. In order to preserve and enhance his trophy quality, he does apply a 140″ or 4.5-year old minimum (he does use some discretion), and he’s looking to make the 4,000-acre bowhunting parcel 150” minimum starting in 2020. Of course, with such a high minimum, you must realize success rates will not be high – this is a hunt for the diehard whitetail hunter wanting a giant and willing to eat tag soup to get it done. We think this is an awesome opportunity! And the cost is incredibly reasonable.
His area in southeastern Indiana is a well-kept secret – known for legendary deer and turkey. Just a few miles from the Ohio River, this 4,000-acre parcel is a large former military installation that has been professionally managed by this outfitter for over a decade to grow giant whitetail deer and turkeys. He also hunts a number of nearby private farms outside the base.
With access so many acres of prime whitetail and turkey habitat, this outfitter provides an incredible opportunity for hunters to experience excellent hunts at reasonable costs while making lasting memories. There is limited availability so best to not delay. He offers hunting for big bucks and makes it his mission to grow and manage the very best free range whitetail deer he possibly can. He also has some awesome turkey hunts with plenty of big gobblers that should not be over looked. Hunts include comfortable lodging, meals, guide service and field care of your game. These hunts are semi-guided, which means that he puts you on pre-scouted stands over travel corridors and food plots. Please contact us if you have any questions. Don’t miss your chance to hunt this little slice of whitetail/turkey heaven.
