MUSK OX
The muskox is a signature statement in any trophy room, and the Barren Ground sub-species is 15% larger in body and horn size than its cousin the Greenland Muskox. The hide on the muskox is simply stunning as well. You are hunting one of the ancient, pre-historic animals of the world, and there is no better place to hunt the largest Barren Ground Muskox in the Arctic than this operation.
The area you will be hunting was first commercially hunted in 2022, in a new hunting zone, and the results have been spectacular: 100% success on fall hunts, with 90% of the trophies making the record books, including the new #1 Boone & Crockett! You are hunting in the rut (on fall hunts), so the muskox are herded up for breeding (it is also a beautiful time to hunt the North, as the tundra will be lit up with vibrant fall colors). You will likely witness fighting between dominant bulls. When you come across a herd of muskox, it is not uncommon for multiple hunters to harvest their animal. This hunt is conducive to archery hunters too, as the areas hunted are so remote that the muskox rarely if ever see humans. The fishing for lake trout and Arctic grayling is also amazing.
This is a spot & stalk hunt, which means you’ll be sitting and glassing areas that have muskox, looking for herds or single bulls. You will be out hunting for 12 hours a day, so expect long hours travelling and glassing. You will need to come prepared mentally for this, absolutely dressed appropriately to stay warm. Staying focused for the duration raises your opportunity of success on a shot opportunity.
ARCTIC WOLF
The wolf is a signature statement in any trophy room. You are seeking to successfully hunt one of the most cunning apex predators in Canada. The Arctic wolf is the premier wolf in the wolf species. The hide on these wolves is simply stunning. Expect to travel many miles by snowmobile each day looking for fresh wolf sign. When the pack is located, it is not uncommon to be able to harvest more than one animal. The areas hunted are so remote that the wolves rarely if ever see humans. Wolf hunts are tough…maybe the toughest hunt out there. To be successful you will need a lot of stamina and patience.
Hunts take place in the northern barren-lands region, past the boreal forest. The wolf population is estimated in the thousands. Caribou are a main food source for them, and the wolves follow the caribou herds. This is a also a prime area for wolverines.
This is a spot and stalk hunt, which means you’ll be glassing areas that have caribou. You will be out hunting for 10 hours a day. You will need to come prepared mentally for long periods of sitting glassing. Absolutely ensure you are dressed appropriately to stay warm. Staying focused for the duration raises your opportunity for success.
Your starting destination is Yellowknife, and you will need to fly in the day before. If you plan to harvest 2 wolves, you will need 2 tags. If you plan to harvest a wolverine, you will need to purchase a tag.

BLACK BEAR
The first started offering these spot & stalk black bear hunts in Spring 2024. These hunts take place in two different areas, one south of Yellowknife and one west of Fort Smith, NWT. No non-residents had hunted here before, with very little resident hunting pressure.
This will be 5 full days of spot and stalk hunting. In the NWT it is illegal to bait bears, so this is a spot and stalk hunt on roads, trails and in some cases on rivers. If you are looking for a thrilling challenge different than sitting on a bait pile this could be your hunt. Spring in the NWT is the ideal time for spot and stalk black bear hunts. At this time of the year, bear hides are in prime condition and color phases are beginning. Cinnamon, brown, blonde and jet black bears can be found in this area. The NWT holds 1,000’s of square miles of amazing boreal wilderness, offering the guides plenty of bear hunting territory to work with. Spot and stalk black bear hunts are an adrenaline filled adventure every hunter should experience!
The bears are hungry after a long winter sleep and are on the move searching for fresh new vegetation. At this time of the year it’s common to see multiple bears a day and on a “bear day” when the conditions are favorable 5-12 bears is normal, sometimes with several stalk attempts. Most bears will be solid black, to black with white blaze. The bears will average 5 ½- 6 feet squared with the monster boars going close to 7 feet.

GETTING YOUR WEAPON INTO CANADA
You are allowed to bring your personal firearm with you. This includes your rifles, shotguns or muzzleloaders (NO HANDGUNS!). For your firearms, a simple one-page form is required to be filled out to obtain a temporary Canadian firearms permit. This form can be down-loaded or mailed to you well in advance from The Royal Canadian Mounted Police at https://www.rcmpgrc.gc.ca/wam/media/2347/original/d369a605ac3363b569af5ea5dc40c88d.pdf. Click on the link for the NON-RESIDENT FIREARM DECLARATION (form RCMP 5589/CAFC 909). Completing this in advance should reduce your time clearing customs. DO NOT SIGN IT UNTIL YOU APPEAR IN FRONT OF CUSTOMS, but fill it out. A confirmed declaration costs a flat fee of $25, regardless of the number of firearms listed on it. It is only valid for the person who signs it and for those firearms listed on the declaration. It is a simple form to fill out. NO FORMS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING YOUR HUNTING BOW INTO CANADA! NO HANDGUNS, AR-15s OR SUPPRESSORS! IF YOU HAVE A DUI OR A CRIMINAL RECORD, CALL US! YOU MAY BE DENIED ADMITTANCE.
TO PREVENT PROBLEMS WHEN RETURNING TO THE UNITED STATES, YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR FIREARMS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT BY TAKING THEM TO ANY CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL (“CBP”) OFFICE BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE UNITED STATES. THE CBP OFFICE WILL REGISTER THEM ON THE SAME CBP FORM 4457 USED TO REGISTER CAMERAS AND COMPUTERS. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU OFTEN CANNOT SIMPLY DO THIS AT THE AIRPORT WHEN LEAVING THE U.S., SO YOU SHOULD DO THIS IN ADVANCE OF YOUR TRIP.
