From flights, to hunting licenses, land use permit and tags, meals and lodging, even a firearm should you choose! When you book with him, it is all included. Just get to Kodiak or Anchorage, and they will take care of the rest!
Kodiak- Afognak Brown Bear:
Afognak island is part of the Kodiak Archipelago, north of Kodiak Island. It is the second largest island in the Kodiak group, about 40 miles long and 25 miles wide. Afognak island is a large rugged island known for its dense Sitka spruce forests, abundant wildlife (including Kodiak brown bears, elk and deer), and rich salmon habitat, making it a popular destination for hunting and fishing. With a population of around 40 people there are about 10x as many bears as people!
Considered by most to be the “Holy Grail” of trophy hunting, Kodiak/ Afognak brown bears are a sub species of brown bear due to their long time isolation from the mainland. While many argue there are bigger bears elsewhere, the fact is, the Kodiak Archipelago has THE MOST TROPHY BEARS in the Boone and Crocket Record book, thus earning them the title of Largest Bears on The Planet.
Like all his hunts included in the price of this hunt are license, tag.- ($1,160) Roundtrip transportation to camp along with meals and lodging. No tent camps here. You will stay warm dry and well fed with either cabin or boat accommodations. For this hunt you must apply through the Alaska draw which takes place November 15- December 15th every year. Draw odds historically have been around 30% for both spring and fall hunts.
